Job description

Duties This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the DC Army National Guard. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: You must meet the minimum military rank as specified in this announcement. Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement The National Guard's full-time support program requires that all military technicians are members of the National Guard and are appointed to full-time positions which correspond to their military assignments. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Minimum Military Rank: E-1/PVC Maximum Military Rank: E-7/SFC Other requirements: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within One (1) year of appointment. This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4/G-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance production management, to achieve or maintain desires production levels, to serve as an equipment readiness expert for units supported by the facility, and to provide technical guidance and oversight to a lower-graded Production Controller.

Duties: * Establish, plan and schedule for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment. * Implement maintenance plans and monitor progress of accomplishments. * Prepare job work orders, schedule various phases of projects in to the production facility.

* Responsible for data input of work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. * Conduct initial and long range planning on matters which include multiple process production, maintenance operations, equipment readiness, including mechanical skills. * Make in-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: experience, education or training scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility. Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes.

Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. Please be advised: 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.
