F&B- Deli Supervisor
General Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the supervision of the deli employees. Organizes for maximum efficiency; including assisting in scheduling, hiring, training, disciplining and evaluating. Operates within the budget established by the Food and Beverage Director. Responsible for the set-up and the daily operations of the deli to include greeting guests, cash transactions, and special events during assigned shift, or in the absence of the Deli Manager.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the supervision of the deli staff, including training, and recommendations on disciplinary actions
  • Monitors and ensures compliance of regulations regarding health and safety of both guests and employees
  • Promotes good guest relations
  • Assists the Deli Manager in coordinating with Marketing in the planning and implementing of Restaurant promotions and special events
  • Coordinates with Security in the planning of special events for the protection of both guests and employees at the direction of the Deli Manager or F&B Director
  • Responsible for cleanliness and overall appearance of the deli
  • Assists in maintaining menus
  • Responsible for filling in for employees who do not make their scheduled shifts either on the Cash Register or Kitchen

Specific Job Skills:
  • Ability to supervise and provide direction to the Agate Pass Deli employees
  • Experienced in providing excellent guest service, able to handle disputes and problem solve conflicts
  • Experience in staff development and training
  • Excellent math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Food and Beverage procedures and cash transactions

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED req. 2 yrs of supervisory exp. in Food & Beverage Industry. Must be 21 yrs of age
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working in an office setting with a computer and other equipment. Other conditions include being able to work both day and night shifts. Conditions will also include frequent interruptions, and working evenings, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers, adding machine and routine paperwork.
