Position Summary

Full time positions are available for multiple age groups. Working hours may vary from 6:30am - 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards.
  • Create a structured daily routine that supports learning, transitions, and classroom management.
  • Foster social-emotional development, positive behavior, and peer interactions.
  • Introduce early literacy, math, colors, shapes, and fine motor activities through play-based learning.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment at all times.
  • Supervise children closely to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Support toileting, handwashing, and self-help skills as developmentally appropriate.
  • Observe, document, and assess children’s developmental progress.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding child progress, behavior, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff to maintain consistency and teamwork.
  • Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Model positive behavior, professionalism, and respectful communication at all times.

Qualifications

  • CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with children.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate classroom practices.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and lead a structured yet flexible learning environment.
  • Passion for early childhood education and child development.

Required Certifications (or ability to obtain)

  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • State-required childcare training hours
  • Background check clearance

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and engage in floor activities throughout the day.
  • Ability to supervise both indoor and outdoor activities.

Work Environment
