Position Summary
Full time positions are available for multiple age groups. Working hours may vary from 6:30am - 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards.
- Create a structured daily routine that supports learning, transitions, and classroom management.
- Foster social-emotional development, positive behavior, and peer interactions.
- Introduce early literacy, math, colors, shapes, and fine motor activities through play-based learning.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment at all times.
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety and well-being.
- Support toileting, handwashing, and self-help skills as developmentally appropriate.
- Observe, document, and assess children’s developmental progress.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding child progress, behavior, and milestones.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff to maintain consistency and teamwork.
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
- Model positive behavior, professionalism, and respectful communication at all times.
Qualifications
- CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with children.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate classroom practices.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to plan and lead a structured yet flexible learning environment.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.
Required Certifications (or ability to obtain)
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- State-required childcare training hours
- Background check clearance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and engage in floor activities throughout the day.
- Ability to supervise both indoor and outdoor activities.
Work Environment
This position works directly with young children in a classroom setting and requires patience, consistency, creativity, and strong leadership skills to support early learning and development.
