Apply now: Marketing Web Developer (WordPress / Elementor), Remote. Start date is ASAP for this 2-month contract position. Job Title: Marketing Web Developer (WordPress / Elementor) Location-Type: Remote Start Date: ASAP Duration: Contract, 2 months (12-15 hours/week) Compensation Range: $50-60/hr W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Visa Sponsorship: Not eligible for visa sponsorship Job Description: The client is seeking a part-time contract Marketing Web Developer to own ongoing maintenance, page builds, and performance optimization across an established WordPress/Elementor marketing website, working closely with the internal design and marketing teams. Job Summary •Build and update pages using WordPress and Elementor, working from established Figma designs in partnership with the internal design team. •Manage WordPress and plugin updates thoughtfully, assessing potential downstream impacts to custom code, modules, and existing pages. •Maintain a three-environment workflow, pushing work to staging for QA before promoting to production. •Publish blog pages and handle general website copy and content updates. •Review existing page performance in Google Analytics, establish baseline metrics, and provide practical recommendations to improve traffic and engagement. •Navigate and troubleshoot pages containing custom code, rather than relying solely on page-builder plug-and-play functionality. •Support website performance optimization when building or updating pages, and assist with QA and launch support for website revisions. •Communicate proactively via Slack, participate in a weekly Monday 1:1, and attend a weekly stakeholder meeting with marketing, creative, and design partners. Minimum Requirements: •3 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining production WordPress websites, including strong Elementor proficiency. •Proficiency working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; PHP experience a plus. •Demonstrated ability to navigate, troubleshoot, and maintain pages with custom-coded elements. •Experience working across development, staging, and production environments, including a structured QA process before publishing. •Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), including pulling and interpreting page-level performance data. •Comfort working from Figma design files and collaborating closely with designers. •Strong QA instincts, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with limited oversight. Preferred Qualifications: •Experience with PHP and custom WordPress theme or plugin development. •Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows, including experience with WP Engine. •Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and privacy/security considerations relevant to education-related websites. •Experience supporting website migrations, acquisitions, or integrating acquired-company web properties. •K-12, EdTech, or other regulated-industry background. •Broader digital/web analytics experience, including Google Tag Manager and event or data layer configuration.
