Job description

This is a fully onsite role at our Fairburn Location.ย 

We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to plan, direct,and coordinate the operations at the facility. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency by implementing effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the DP World Team!ย 

We are currerntly hiring for multiple roles and shifts.ย 

Various shifts:

  • Inbound Supervisor Weekend 2nd Shift Friday - Sunday from 5:00pm to 5:00am.ย 
  • Inbound Supervisor 1st Shift Monday- Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm.
  • Outbound Supervisor 2nd Shift Monday- Thursday from 5:00pm to 5:00am.ย 
About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Plan, coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of team members; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials.
  • Monitor and measure team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics.
  • Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
  • Ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements.
  • Liaise with materials department to ensure on time receipt and shipment of material.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • Experience supervising in an Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience and or training regarding the Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean Methodologies preferred.
  • Quality systems knowledge - to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)ย
