Job description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading PDT's end-to-end supply chain strategy, driving supply chain performance, risk mitigation, and scalable growth. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role ensures alignment of sourcing, materials management, material savings and planning and scheduling supporting business objectives, customer requirements, and financial targets.

Essential responsibilities include the following:

  • Define and execute supply chain strategy aligned to business growth, margin expansion, and on-time delivery objectives
  • Build and optimize a resilient supply base through strategic sourcing, supplier development, and performance management with domestic and international sources of supply
  • Negotiate Agreements with suppliers to reduce cost and lead time
  • Drive operational excellence and MRP Hygiene across procurement, planning, inventory, shipping/receiving and logistics
  • Mitigate supply chain risk through proactive planning, dual sourcing strategies, and supplier quality
  • Lead material planning processes to ensure alignment between demand, capacity, and inventory
  • Own supplier quality and compliance, ensuring adherence to aerospace/defense requirements and regulatory standards
  • Develop and mentor high-performing teams across purchasing, planning, and inventory control
  • Establish and track KPIs (OTD, inventory turns, supplier performance, cost savings) to drive accountability and informed decision-making
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance to enable program execution and new product introductions
  • Direct leadership of Buyers, Master Scheduler, and Inventory Control Manager
  • Key contributor to Operations leadership team and business planning processes
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs 

  • Position is subject to ITAR restrictions

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain within aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing environments 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Manufacturing in Aerospace, Commercial and Defense Industries is preferred.
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline
  • Deep expertise in sourcing, planning, inventory optimization, and MRP tools
  • Supplier relationship management and negotiation
  • Data-driven decision making and KPI management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
  • Experience with government/regulatory requirements (e.g., DFARS, ITAR) preferred
