Job description

ABOUT RESPIRE
Respire Homecare Services provides comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized home care services for patients and their families by fostering an environment that balances both the needs of our employees and the needs of the company through open communication, teamwork, trust, and mutual respect.
We embrace change and the opportunity it brings to establish and administer sound policies, rules and practices that treat employees with dignity and equality.
Our focus is on delivering patient centered home care services while being committed to recruiting, developing, rewarding, and retaining our most valuable resource - our employees.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, execution, and continuous improvement of Respire Homecare Services' centralized Supply Chain function. This is a hands-on, enterprise-wide role responsible for managing and executing purchasing activities while also developing the processes, analytics, vendor relationships, and operational standards needed to build a scalable Supply Chain function.
The Supply Chain Manager will serve as the primary point person for enterprise purchasing and vendor management, partnering closely with Finance, Regional Operations, Clinical, and other business leaders. This role will be actively involved in day-to-day purchasing activities, including purchase requests, purchase orders, vendor communication, product availability, purchasing data, and Brightree-related activities, while also identifying opportunities to improve purchasing practices, reduce costs, strengthen vendor performance, and increase operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is both a strong operator and a strategic problem solver-someone who is comfortable getting into the details and doing the work while also stepping back to analyze spend, identify trends, improve processes, and build the Supply Chain function for the future.
WHAT YOU'll DO
Supply Leadership
  • Own the day-to-day operations and performance of Respire's centralized Supply Chain function.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise purchasing and vendor management.
  • Establish and maintain purchasing processes, standards, and workflows that support consistent execution across the organization.
  • Balance hands-on day-to-day purchasing responsibilities with longer-term process improvement and functional development.
  • Partner with Finance, Regional Operations, Clinical, and other business leaders to understand business needs and develop practical Supply Chain solutions.
  • Monitor Supply Chain performance and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, scalability, and cost management.
  • Help assess and develop the future structure, processes, and resource needs of the Supply Chain function.

Purchasing & Procurement Operations
  • Execute and manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including purchase requests, purchase orders, order follow-up, and vendor communication.
  • Review purchasing requests for accuracy, appropriateness, and alignment with established purchasing standards.
  • Manage purchasing activity to promote appropriate utilization of approved vendors, contracts, pricing, and enterprise purchasing standards.
  • Monitor product availability, order status, fill rates, and supply disruptions and proactively address issues.
  • Partner with Regional Operations to resolve purchasing issues and ensure timely availability of products and supplies.
  • Manage purchasing inquiries and provide timely support to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring purchasing issues and develop solutions to improve the purchasing experience and reduce manual work.

Vendor Management & Sourcing Support
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and other suppliers.
  • Monitor vendor performance related to service, product availability, pricing, fill rates, and responsiveness.
  • Support implementation of sourcing strategies, contract changes, and enterprise purchasing initiatives.
  • Participate in vendor business reviews, contract implementation, and supplier performance improvement activities.
  • Escalate significant supply issues and coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders and supplier partners.

Purchasing Governance & Operational Support
  • Support and enforce enterprise purchasing policies, procedures, and approved vendor standards through hands-on execution and ongoing monitoring.
  • Partner with Regional Operations to implement approved formulary decisions and purchasing initiatives.
  • Manage purchasing-related activities within Brightree, including item governance, purchasing attributes, vendor relationships, and related system maintenance.
  • Promote purchasing data integrity and standardization across the organization.
  • Identify gaps in purchasing data, processes, and system functionality and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the development and refinement of Supply Chain performance metrics and operational reporting.

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve purchasing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce manual work.
  • Lead or project-manage Supply Chain process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve purchasing workflows and enhance service levels.
  • Contribute to strategic Supply Chain initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'll BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, healthcare operations, or related leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or operational processes.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, supplier management, and procurement processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience interpreting operational data.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Durable Medical Equipment (DME), home medical equipment, or healthcare preferred.
  • Experience with Brightree or similar ERP/procurement systems preferred.
  • Experience with Power Query, DOMO, Power BI, or similar reporting tools preferred.
  • Experience supporting sourcing initiatives, vendor negotiations, or contract implementation.
  • Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE
  • Mission-driven culture focused on whole-person wellness and dignity
  • Opportunities for career growth within the company
  • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits package:
    • $85,000-$100,000 annual salary
    • Health, dental & vision insurance
    • 401(k) with employer match
    • Paid time off
