Supply Chain Planning Engineers are professionals who design, implement, and optimize processes involved in the flow of goods and materials within a company. They analyze data, forecast demand, manage inventory, and coordinate with suppliers and production teams to ensure products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. Their work helps organizations minimize costs, improve service levels, and respond quickly to market changes. They often use advanced software tools and data analytics to make strategic decisions and solve complex supply chain challenges.

Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Supply Chain Planner to serve as a central planning partner across demand planning, materials execution, manufacturing, and product transition activities. This role will connect the full supply chain end to end — from demand signals and capacity planning to clean-to-build readiness and execution alignment — to ensure OCI can meet deployment priorities with confidence.

The successful candidate will work closely with Demand Planning, Materials Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Materials Execution teams to assess supply readiness, identify constraints, and drive cross-functional plans that balance demand, capacity, and inventory. This role requires both strategic judgement and strong tactical experience, with the ability to translate supply chain signals into clear actions and decisions.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Supply Chain Planning

Develop and maintain integrated supply plans that align demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability, and deployment priorities.

Partner with Demand Planning to understand forecast requirements, product mix, and business priorities.

Work with Materials Program Managers and Manufacturing teams to validate supply assumptions and execution readiness.

Assess clean-to-build status and identify gaps that could impact planned production or deployment.

Evaluate whether available supply, manufacturing capacity, and material commitments are sufficient to support demand.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Serve as the primary planning interface across Demand Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Execution, and Commodity teams.

Coordinate with manufacturing partners to understand capacity commitments, constraints, and recovery actions.

Work with EMs and execution teams to identify when plan versus actual is off track and drive root-cause understanding.

Bring issues back to the broader team when material shortages, capacity gaps, or execution risks threaten plan attainment.

Lead cross-functional discussions to align on priorities, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies.

Supply Risk & Execution Management

Monitor supply constraints, material shortages, and execution risks across the supply chain.

Identify gaps early and drive mitigation plans to protect customer delivery and business objectives.

Support product transition planning by ensuring readiness across materials, capacity, and execution timelines.

Track inventory health and help optimize supply positioning to reduce risk while avoiding excess.

Escalate material or capacity issues with clear analysis, options, and recommendations.

Planning Analysis & Decision Support

Analyze supply, demand, capacity, and clean-to-build data to inform planning decisions.

Develop executive-ready updates, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership review.

Translate complex supply chain conditions into clear actions for cross-functional teams.

Support continuous improvement efforts that strengthen planning accuracy, responsiveness, and operational discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

6–10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, materials planning, manufacturing coordination, or related hardware supply chain roles.

Experience supporting complex, high-tech, or cloud infrastructure supply chains.

Experience working with contract manufacturers, engineering teams, and materials execution functions.

Demonstrated experience balancing demand, supply, and manufacturing capacity in a fast-moving environment.

Experience supporting product transitions, clean-to-build analysis, or supply recovery efforts preferred.

Technical & Functional Skills

Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning, including demand planning, materials, manufacturing capacity, and inventory management.

Ability to evaluate clean-to-build, material readiness, and supply feasibility.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into decisions.

Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning or similar enterprise planning systems preferred.

Proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, and supply chain data analysis.

Core Competencies

Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to influence without direct authority across multiple teams.

Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making sound tradeoff decisions.

Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability.
