Position Summary
The Supply Chain Management Analyst II is responsible for managing a high volume of domestic and international wine shipments while ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and on time. This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex supply chain challenges, and is comfortable collaborating with suppliers, freight partners, customs brokers, and customers across multiple countries and time zones.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ocean imports, Incoterms, and end-to-end shipment coordination from purchase order through final delivery. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to communication and process improvement.
Responsibilities & Duties
ALL Coordinate domestic and international shipments from purchase order creation through final delivery.
Manage ocean import shipments and monitor cargo movement, proactively resolving delays, documentation issues, and other supply chain disruptions.
Partner with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and transportation providers to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Determine shipment priorities and lead times based on customer requirements, forecasts, and delivery schedules.
Generate and analyze shipment tracking reports and communicate inventory impacts, risks, and shipment status updates.
Apply Incoterms and international shipping best practices to support efficient logistics execution.
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, purchase orders, sales orders, and records supporting invoicing and customs clearance.
Develop and maintain customer-specific SOPs and identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes and service levels.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external supply chain partners.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
2+ years of international logistics, import/export, supply chain, or distribution experience.
Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments from order placement through final delivery.
Ocean import experience.
Experience working with customs brokers, overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers.
Working knowledge of Incoterms.
Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Authorized to work in the United States and reside within commuting distance of South Napa for at least 2 days in-office each week.
Preferred
Wine, spirits, beverage alcohol, or related industry experience.
Sage X3 ERP experience.
Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
