Job description

Supply Chain & Production Control Manager

Location: Chicagoland, IL

Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 base + bonus

The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established precision manufacturer serving the aerospace and medical device industries to add a Supply Chain & Production Control Manager to its leadership team.

This company offers the best of both worlds: the visibility and impact of a specialized manufacturing operation combined with the financial strength, resources, and long-term stability of being backed by a much larger organization.

This is more than a purchasing position. You'll have significant ownership over supply chain and production control, ensuring materials, suppliers, inventory, and production schedules stay aligned with customer demand.

What You'll Own
  • Lead Supply Chain and Production Control across the manufacturing operation.

  • Manage and develop teams responsible for planning, scheduling, purchasing, materials, and inventory control.

  • Drive production planning to align capacity, material availability, and customer delivery requirements.

  • Improve supplier performance around quality, cost, lead times, and on-time delivery.

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to identify constraints and keep production moving.

  • Improve inventory accuracy, material flow, scheduling discipline, and on-time delivery.

  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems and operational data to improve planning and decision-making.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 3–4+ years of supply chain management/leadership experience.

  • Aerospace OR medical device manufacturing experience required.

  • Strong experience with production planning/control, purchasing, materials, inventory, and supplier management.

  • Experience within a precision, regulated, or high-mix manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Why This Opportunity?
  • $130K–$140K base + bonus.

  • Join an established, growing manufacturer serving high-value aerospace and medical customers.

  • Backed by a larger organization, providing additional resources, investment, and stability.

  • High-visibility leadership position with ownership of Supply Chain + Production Control.

  • Opportunity to make real improvements to planning, inventory, supplier performance, and overall operational execution.

  • Strong platform for someone looking to make an impact and continue growing their career in operations leadership.

You should be proficient in:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Aerospace Manufacturing
  • CNC Manufacturing
