The Supply Chain Manager will support strategic optimization initiatives for Amazon Us, focusing on building robust metrics and management foundations while integrating broader supply chain impacts.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, operations, program management, product, finance, and more. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement scalable systems, and drive automation to enhance efficiency, with a particular focus on optimizing the physical flow and operations within the supply chain network. Whether you're managing network capacity initiatives, overseeing cross-functional programs, or focusing on strategic projects, your impact will be visible, ongoing, and contribute directly to our commitment to being the most customer-centric company on earth.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies, balancing cost efficiency with service level requirements
  • Create and maintain key performance metrics to track inventory health, turnover rates, connectivity distance and cost
  • Design scalable processes for inventory planning and positioning, considering network constraints and delivery speed targets
  • Ensure alignment between inventory strategies and broader supply chain goals, including transportation efficiency and FC capacity
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across finance, operations, SCOT and planning teams to drive inventory optimization initiatives
  • Build comprehensive inventory management playbooks and standard operating procedures
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimization opportunities, and potential risks
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce carrying costs and improve inventory accuracy
  • Support central teams in developing strategic inventory planning for annual operating plans
  • Lead initiatives to scale inventory operations and implement automation solutions
About the team

Our team is responsible for optimizing inbound connectivity across the NA supply chain network, focusing on efficient inventory placement, cost savings, and operational resilience.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
