Operations & Supply Chain Manager

Kansas City, KS - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Kansas City, KS. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a highly organized and hands-on Operations & Supply Chain Manager to oversee the coordination of manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and customer implementation activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic planning with real-world execution and isn't afraid to step away from the desk to support operations in the field. This person will work closely with manufacturing partners, suppliers, engineering teams, and customers to ensure products are built, delivered, and deployed efficiently. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously while keeping projects on schedule.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the potential and opportunity for professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with production partners to ensure projects remain on schedule and product delivery goals are achieved.
  • Monitor production progress, identify potential delays, and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to resolve issues impacting timelines.
  • Manage supply chain activities, including tracking critical components, addressing long-lead material challenges, and coordinating with suppliers to minimize production disruptions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to support new product builds and production readiness.
  • Oversee logistics for product delivery, deployment, and customer implementation, ensuring all project milestones are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities required to successfully launch products at customer sites.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, operational plans, and status updates across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Support field operations by assisting with equipment deployment, product testing, and customer implementation activities as needed.
  • Operate and support robotic equipment in outdoor environments during demonstrations, deployments, or field operations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, logistics, and supply chain efficiency.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or project management.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving manufacturing, suppliers, and customer delivery.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial equipment, agricultural technology, robotics, or similar industries is preferred.
  • Comfortable working both in an office environment and outdoors in support of field operations.
  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing facilities and customer locations as needed.
