Job description

The Supply Chain Analyst supports inventory planning, replenishment, and supply chain operations for Walmart and Sam's Club business. Working closely with the Sr. Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for analyzing inventory performance, monitoring supply chain metrics, identifying risks, and assisting with execution activities across global sourcing, logistics, and replenishment processes.

This position is ideal to build expertise in inventory management, demand planning, global sourcing, and retail supply chain operations. The role provides exposure to Walmart systems, international supply chains, and cross-functional business partnerships while developing the skills necessary to progress into a Supply Chain Manager position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support inventory and replenishment activities to help maintain optimal stock levels across Walmart distribution centers and stores.
  • Monitor inventory positions, sales trends, and replenishment data to identify potential out-of-stock or excess inventory risks.
  • Assist in managing inbound supply from overseas factories by tracking production schedules, shipping milestones, and delivery performance.
  • Coordinate with sourcing, logistics, and planning teams to ensure timely product flow from factory to customer.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics related to inventory, replenishment, and supply chain operations.
  • Analyze supply chain KPIs, including:
  • In-stock percentage
  • OTIF (On-Time In-Full)
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Inventory turns
  • Fill rates
  • Support root cause analysis of inventory shortages, forecast variances, and supply disruptions.
  • Prepare data and recommendations for Supply Chain Manager review and decision-making.
  • Assist with Walmart and Sam's Club replenishment activities and operational issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Category Management, Demand Planning, Logistics, and Customer Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.
  • Maintain data accuracy across supply chain systems and reporting tools.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to improve service levels, inventory productivity, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory planning, demand planning, retail replenishment, or analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Walmart or Sam's Club supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with retail replenishment systems and inventory management processes.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other analytics tools.Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • APICS/ASCM coursework or certification progress (CPIM or CSCP).
