What is a supplemental security officer?

Supplemental Security Officers are security personnel who provide additional support to a primary security team. They are often hired during special events, emergencies, or periods of increased risk to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. Their duties may include patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and assisting with crowd control. Supplemental Security Officers typically work on a temporary or as-needed basis and must meet the same training and licensing requirements as regular security officers.

To thrive as a Supplemental Security Officer, you need a solid understanding of security protocols, observation skills, and sometimes a high school diploma or equivalent.
