Position:                     HousekeepingSupervisor

FLSA Class:               Hourly Non-Exempt

Reports to:                 Assistant General Manager/General Manager

 

Job Summary:

A Housekeeping Supervisor isresponsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to deliver an excellentGuest experience while evaluating guest room and public areas for propertycleanliness and quality control he /she can help in setting department targetsand objectives in absence of the Executive Housekeeper and assisting his/herdirect supervisor in all areas of the housekeeping department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

       Overseehousekeeping operations in the hskpmanager absence

       Inspect assignedrooms and ensure they are cleaned to standards

       Oversee LaundryOperations

       Ensure everyonein the department is trained and using Quore on a daily basis

       Operate withindepartmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managedschedules

       Inspect,regularly, all fixtures, fittings, and appliances to ensure compliance tostandards and take action as necessary to conform to standard

       Monitor theappearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping/Laundry Team with anemphasis on training and teamwork

       Ensure teammembers have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities

       Maintain goodcommunication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with externalcustomers and suppliers

       Ensure staffinglevels cover business demands

       Ensure ongoingtraining

       Manage staffperformance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures

       Recruit, manage,train and develop the Housekeeping/Laundry team

       Complete lineninventory for the hotel

       Maintains dataand information for property management systems

       Assist otherdepartments wherever necessary

       Be aBrand Ambassador of A&R's Culture, Mission and Values.

Required Skills and Experience:

       At least 1 yearsof experience in housekeeping/laundry and previous experience of managing adepartment and or related experience

       Prior successfulperformance as a Housekeeper

       Ahigh school certificate or equivalent

       Excellentleadership, interpersonal and communication skills

       Committedto delivering high levels of customer service

       Abilityto work under pressure

       Excellentgrooming standards

       Flexibilityto respond to a range of different work situations

       Entry level , with computers and computer programs, including MicrosoftOffice

       Strongorganizational, budget management, and problem-solving skills

       Strongcommunication skills

       Apassion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service

Other Skills Required:

Physical: Must be able to stand forperiods of time; ability to lift to 25 lbs.; may  require frequent bending, stooping andkneeling
