Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced EP/Cath Lab Technologist with RCIS or ARRT certification to scrub and monitor device implants, EP ablations, and LAAO cases in a combined Cath Lab/EP setting.

Details
  • Acute care setting in a combined Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab
  • 7 total labs including 3 cath labs, 3 EP labs, and 1 procedure room
  • Average of 20-25 patient cases per day
  • Uses Cerner EMR currently, transitioning to Epic in October, with Merge used in the Cath/EP Lab
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, scheduled 0630-1700
  • On-call required approximately 7-9 weekdays per month
  • One weekend of call per month for Cath Lab, no weekend call for EP Lab
  • Holiday call required for Cath Lab, not required for EP Lab
  • Call response time of 30 minutes
  • May float within the Cath Lab only, no floating to IR or outside the hospital
  • Facility-based scheduling only, no self-scheduling available
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP Lab required
  • BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required
  • RCIS certification via CCI required, or ARRT certification with Arkansas limited X-ray license if not ARRT certified
  • License required if applicable
  • Active State or Compact (NLC) RN licensure required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
  • Competent to scrub and monitor device implants, EP ablations, and LAAO cases
  • Strong understanding of EP lab procedures, cardiolab pacing, and ablation techniques
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Scrub and monitor EP lab cases including device implants, EP ablations, and LAAO procedures
  • A unit manager is present on each shift but does not take patient assignments
  • Additional Cath Lab Techs are present on the unit
  • 4 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
  • Hospital-provided scrubs in ceil blue
