Job Title: Finance & Accounting Shared Service Center Intern - Summer 2027 Job Category: Intern/Co-op Time Type: Part time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Part-Time On-Call Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * The Opportunity: The role involves learning transactional accounting and finance processes within a shared services environment, working with various systems such as Workday, P2P/iValua, CostPoint, and Emburse Travel, and leveraging technology like CoPilot, Power BI, RPA, Python, Power Automate, and AI internal tools to maximize process efficiency. The position requires connecting how accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and travel processes impact the financial reporting of a publicly traded organization. Additionally, it involves gaining an understanding of how transaction-level processes affect the profit and loss statement, balance sheets, and financial metrics like Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

The role also includes engaging in reporting across all departments to identify the most valuable data to analyze, thereby driving the business forward. Responsibilities: Complete specific process tasks daily, weekly, monthly to contribute to department goals Learn how to leverage tools such as MS Copilot, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, RPA, Python, and others as needed to bring efficiency and automation to processes. Ensure processes assigned are fully documented so training of others is smooth when needed and backups can utilize when primary team member is out.

Communicate ideas, issues, and process completion as needed with department leaders and other stakeholders to ensure alignment across team and organization. Escalate any delays or variations of tasks so that resolution can be as quick as possible. Qualifications: Required: Enrolled in 4 year degree in Business or related field.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Ability to work a hybrid schedule, generally in office but some remote based on team needs and performance. Ability to learn tasks, financial systems, and organizational needs quickly Communication skills to articulate across the organization with diverse groups Desired: Prior office experience a plus Knowledge of MS Office products a plus Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular) - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
