FL Drama Kids is a small business that serves St. John’s County. We are supportive, fun and creative.

Are you looking for something super part-time? Or a theatre enthusiast looking to pass your love of the arts to the next generation of artists?

If you answered yes to either question, then Drama Kids is looking for teachers just like you! We are a locally-owned, family business and we are looking for energetic and dedicated teachers or theatre artists with a theatre or performance background to join our Drama Kids Team. (Theatre background not required)

Looking for teachers for our schools in St. John’s County School District.

Our program is seeking enthusiastic and outgoing instructors who are interested in teaching our Drama Kids' award-winning and super fun curriculum at community and/or in-school locations for the 2026-27 School year. Our teachers work anywhere from 2-10 hours a week for us, depending on their schedule.

At Drama Kids, it’s our high-energy teachers who inspire and encourage our students. Drama Kid Teachers help kids develop greater confidence and self-esteem through the fun of drama. We are looking for teachers who can match their student's high energy, and always put forth positivity and creativity. Teaching at Drama Kids is all about building up children’s confidence while having a lot of fun!

We fully train you in how to deliver our curriculum and each week, you are given a Drama Kids lesson plan to teach. As a teacher for us, you bring your creativity and positivity to bring it alive! If you are interested in becoming an "edu-tainer" for Drama Kids, apply today!

Drama Kids is a Creative Drama & Literacy Enrichment Program where kids “Act Up” with a purpose! We work with our students’ imagination and creativity to develop literacy skills, public speaking, leadership/teamwork, and acting abilities. All this while building their confidence and essential life skills learned in a fun and professional atmosphere.

Our benefits include great compensation, between $30-40 per class depending on location and experience. A flexible schedule that works around your availability, and a class assignment for the entire school year. Your schedule doesn’t change week to week! We have a super fun team that provides full training and support every step of the way. And where else can you get paid to jump up and down, make funny faces, pretend to be a caterpillar or an alien?

As a member of our great team you will:

  • Teach and mentor students between 6 to 15 years of age
  • Follow provided world-renowned lesson plans on speech, movement & acting
  • Direct short plays
  • Build relationships with parents and students
  • Have a dedicated and supportive team behind you
  • Be fully trained in all curriculum and "The Drama Kids Way"

Qualifications:

  • Have a heart for kids!
  • A theater or education background (The love of theatre is enough!)
  • Are looking for a very part-time and fun opportunity
  • Have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Have HIGH ENERGY and the ability to be silly!
  • Have at least one hour, one afternoon available, each week between 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Willing to commute to various locations in St. John’s County, FL
  • Willing and able to commit for at least one school year - August through May with the possibility of Summer Camps in June and July
  • Theater and/or teaching experience is a plus but not required
