Job Summary:

Suncrest Home Health is looking for a compassionate and driven PRN RN to provide the highest-quality care for patients in their homes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs home health care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Reviews and maintains patientsโ€™ records, charts, and other pertinent information. Post tests and examination results.
  • Observes, records, and reports patientโ€™s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Maintains cooperative relationships among the home health care team by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Performs related work as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of home health care.
  • Has administrative and clinical skills.
  • Is sensitive to the needs and concerns of patients and the home health care team.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Has the ability to supervise and train staff.
  • Ability to take and give directions.
  • Ability to carry out treatment as ordered and document appropriately within the realm of practice
  • Has the ability to use mature nursing judgment in daily decision-making.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medication.

Education and Experience:

  • Valid state RN License
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferably in a science-related field
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
  • Basic computer skills
  • CPR and first aid certification required
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in the physical therapy field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common in a clinic environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Occasionally you may lift and carry boxes of material and equipment weighing 10-15 pounds.
