Certified Nursing Assistant - Join Our Big-Hearted Team

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant, compassionate community? Join our vibrant team at Grandview Terrace in Sun City West, AZ, as a Certified Nursing Assistant!

**$1000.00 sign-on bonus (Full-Time) **

Your Mission: Join us to provide direct patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients, or changing linens. May transfer or transport patients.

Schedule: 1) AM, 5 days/week 2) PM, 5 days/week 3) NOC, 5 days/week

Key Responsibilities:

  • When arriving on duty, check assignment, schedule, note any special events scheduled for that day and extra duties specific to the shift and section you are working.
  • Do assigned duties as they fit into the day's schedule.
  • Answer call lights as needed.
  • Do vital signs as indicated and when requested.
  • Assist at meal times according to schedule.
  • Chart required information.
  • Attend Staff and In-Service Meetings. Each CNA must attend the required In-Services annually.
  • Assist in, and/or perform, responsibilities connected with admissions, transfers and discharges.
  • Use aseptic technique in all care of residents to prevent spread of disease and infection.
  • Observe residents' physical condition, emotions, reactions to events, eating and report any and all changes to the Charge Nurse.
  • Maintain and renew certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provide all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) every day.

P.M. Shift:

  • Assist with residents at activities.
  • Assist resident with pre-meal preparation before dinner.
  • Assist or feed at meals according to resident's needs.
  • Bathe residents according to schedule.
  • Nail care to be performed weekly or as needed.
  • Do oral care including dentures, take to the bathroom and assist as necessary.
  • Assist in undressing and getting into night clothes. Remember part of rehabilitation nursing is to have the resident do as much as possible for themselves.
  • Fix hair according to resident's preference or as appropriate for bedtime.
  • Assist into bed, make sure the call light is within reach and give fresh water. Make hourly rounds on all residents after they are in bed.
  • Empty the trash and remove soiled clothing.

Night Shift:

  • Check residents every 2 hours.
  • Incontinent residents should be checked, cleaned, and/or taken to the bathroom.
  • Residents physically incapable of turning themselves should be turned no less than every two (2) hours.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse
  • Wash wheelchairs weekly as assigned.
  • Clean soiled equipment found in the dirty utility room every night.

  • CPR and First Aid or ability to obtain (Required)
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (Required)
  • AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain (Required)
