Electrical Test Technician

Summit Santa Clara currently has an open position for an Electrical Test Technician. Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.

Position Summary: Follows the day-to-day schedule and operations of the Electrical Test Department. Operates the various test equipment and software required for electrical test. Receives and moves jobs through the Test Department.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electrical testing of printed circuit boards or printed circuit board manufacturing. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

General Ability to:

  • Speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Comprehend industry standards, customer specifications, designated reference materials and their appropriate application.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Work under pressure with time constraints.
  • Operate company designated electrical test equipment, software, and database.
  • Perform general math calculations.
  • Effectively follow company systems and procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with company systems, policies, and applicable procedures.
  • Follow the day-to-day schedule and operations of the Electrical Test Department.
  • Operate Test Equipment and Software.
  • Upon completion of jobs, provide necessary documents described in the test procedures and sign off the traveler.
  • Move jobs through the Test Department.

Compensation/Benefits: Summit offers a variety of health and benefit programs.  Which include Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA plans, Hospital and Accident plans, Life Insurance, PTO, and Paid Holidays. Benefits are effective 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment.
