 URGENT HIRING – Seasonal Customs Wheelchair AgentsSummer Opportunity at Huntleigh USA

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC)

Pay Rate

$16.25 per hour


Seasonal Position

This is a temporary seasonal role with an anticipated end date of September 15, 2026.


Available Shifts

Shifts are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays:

  • 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Additional shifts may be available on the domestic side of the airport based on operational needs.

Position Objective

Provide safe and courteous wheelchair assistance to international passengers arriving through the U.S. Customs area while delivering excellent customer service.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security credentials, including successful completion of all required federal background checks and screening
  • Must meet all airport and federal security requirements in accordance with applicable laws
Important Security Requirement

This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain airport security credentials, which includes passing a mandatory federal background check and security screening.


This background investigation is extensive, strict, and non-negotiable, as required for access to secure airport areas and compliance with federal regulations. Candidates must be able to successfully pass all required security vetting without disqualifying factors.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all airport and federal security requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely transport passengers throughout airport terminals
  • Assist passengers in and out of wheelchairs as needed
  • Provide directions and general airport information
  • Deliver professional customer service to passengers and airport staff
  • Coordinate with dispatch and airline personnel
  • Comply with all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security procedures
  • Complete incident reports when necessary
  • Maintain accurate wheelchair logs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, and support up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and push wheelchairs for extended periods
