Job description

Summary:

Network infrastructure management: design, planning, upgrades, organization, monitoring, maintenance, and security thereof. VOIP system management. Server/service administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical/virtual servers, networks, and storage to ensure high availability.

Security & Compliance: Implement security measures (firewalls, patching, SSL) and manage Active Directory/identity systems.

Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks and system updates.

Monitoring & Performance: Proactively monitor system health (CPU, memory, network) to optimize performance and prevent outages.

Project Leadership: Lead technology upgrades/migrations and disaster recovery projects.

Documentation & Mentoring: Create comprehensive documentation and participate in mentoring junior administrator.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Generally 10+ years of systems administration or related systems/network engineering experience.

Core Expertise: Deep knowledge of Windows Server and Domain Services, Linux, VMware, Cisco Catalyst, and network protocols (LAN/WAN).

Additional Desirable Experience: MSSQL, Windows File Services, PCI Compliancy, Ruckus & Meraki, PacketFence, Cisco Call Manager

Cloud & Virtualization: Experience with Azure and AWS

Scripting/Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Troubleshooting: Expert-level diagnosis skills for critical system failures.

PLEASE NOTE: This positions requires extensive travel on-mountain during the winter season. To be considered, applicants must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level or above.
