About the Summer Research Professional Intern Position:

As a Summer Research Professional Intern, you have the opportunity to work on complex business problems within an inclusive and collaborative environment. Summer Research Professionals may work on multiple projects at a time across various practice areas and industries. Responsibilities may include:

  • Quantitative analyses: you will help develop data-driven models to address complex economic and financial problems using tools such as SAS, R, Stata, Python.
  • Qualitative research: you will conduct research using academic and industry literature, publicly available data sources, and client materials; and you will synthesize findings to inform case strategy and analysis.
  • Preparation of reports: you will assist in drafting expert reports, presentations, and internal memoranda, and help prepare materials for client and case team meetings.
  • Team collaboration: you will engage regularly with colleagues at all levels through case work and have an opportunity to interact directly with clients.

Applicants must have at least a 3.3 GPA or higher in their most recent degree to be considered.

While Groupe d’analyse (Analysis Group) sponsors work authorization for full-time positions, we do not offer sponsorship for internships, except in extraordinary cases. Accordingly, candidates must already be lawfully authorized to work in Canada for Groupe d’analyse (Analysis Group) for the duration of the internship - and preferably must be able to work at least 40 hours a week during that period.  

Groupe d’analyse (Analysis Group) offers competitive compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $30 – CAD $37 per hour. Compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including work experience, education, and skill level.

At the end of the internship, Summer Research Professional Interns will be evaluated for a full-time Research Professional offer in the office that their internship takes place. Should you receive and accept an offer to join Groupe d’analyse (Analysis Group) full-time, we are invested in professional development and growth and provide multidimensional support for Research Professionals who plan to apply to graduate school. After a few years with the firm, Research Professionals often attend top M.B.A., J.D., Ph.D., or other advanced degree programs. Groupe d’analyse (Analysis Group) provides financial sponsorship to high-performing Research Professionals interested in pursuing a full-time degree and returning to Groupe d’analyse (Analysis Group), or a part-time degree while continuing to work at the firm. Research Professionals who join Groupe d’analyse (Analysis Group) with advanced degrees have the opportunity to progress to the Associate level and beyond.
