Job description

Developer 3 - (Python, JavaScript, Linux)

Clearance: TS/SCI w/ poly
Position ID: 20-21-005-SWE3
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Description:

We are seeking a fast-moving, mission-driven Full Stack Developer to join our CNMF DAT team. In this role, your primary objective is to make life better for the customer (and ideally, reduce the number of times they sigh at their monitors). Our organization focuses on the discovery of new opportunities and enabling activities across a myriad of technical fields.

You will own the design and delivery of custom applications that provide data visualization, workflow automation, and vital mission cognizance for mission-critical activities. You'll be dropped directly into customer spaces, handed hard problems, and trusted to build tools that actually close operational gaps—rather than just adding to the collective technical debt.

  • Innovate & Analyze: Write scripts and analytics that turn "we have no idea" into "here's the answer."
  • Integrate Data: Rescue, aggregate, and manipulate data from disparate, sometimes stubborn corporate silos. You will query compliantly and integrate securely—perhaps turning a data swamp into a beautifully structured knowledge graph along the way.
  • Build Intuitive UIs: Develop modern user interfaces and visualizations to address gaps in customer toolsets, building tools that humans actually want to use.
  • Elicit Requirements: Talk directly with end-users and stakeholders in their own spaces. Extract their true requirements and iterate rapidly.
  • Collaborate: Partner with other DAT teams. Share expertise, borrow genius, and firmly refuse to reinvent the wheel.

Position Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated development proficiency in both Python and JavaScript for building full-stack web applications and analytics
  • Proficiency in querying and manipulating data from enterprise databases and repositories
  • Strong experience developing and surviving on Linux-based platforms
  • Familiarity with Git for day-to-day development workflows
  • A strong desire to work directly on-site in customer spaces, collaborate closely with users, and comfortably embrace a little dynamic chaos

Position Desired Skills:

  • Experience with AI-assisted software development or engineering workflows
  • Proficiency with agentic AI harnesses and frameworks
  • Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
  • Experience with production CNO (Computer Network Operations) capabilities and operations
  • Service containerization and orchestration experience using Docker and Kubernetes

SWE3 Qualifications:

12 yrs., B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.

Salary Range: **$232k-$283k (Annually)

**The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
