Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Data Platforms & Engineering, you will design, automate, and operate scalable, reliable data platforms-primarily Databricks and Palantir Foundry-within Conagra's Azure environment. You will enable consistent, high-quality data engineering and data product delivery through CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and robust Disaster Recovery, applying site reliability engineering principles to drive automation, observability, and resilience across the data platform ecosystem. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Data Platform Engineering (Primary Focus) Build, operate, and optimize Databricks and/or Palantir Foundry workspaces, clusters, jobs, storage integrations, and platform configurations.Manage workspace governance, cluster policies, secrets, access controls, and cost guardrails.Automate platform provisioning, onboarding, and environment consistency through Infrastructure-as-Code.CI/CD for Data Engineering & Data Products Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting consistent deployment of notebooks, transformations, libraries, and data products while supporting test-driven development standards.Standardize data product delivery using reusable pipeline templates and paved-road deployment frameworks.Enforce guardrails and quality gates to ensure reliable, safe, and compliant data product releases.Resiliency & Disaster Recovery Strengthen platform resilience and Disaster Recovery readiness across environments.Participate in on-call rotations for platform incidents.Execute runbooks, lead postmortems, and drive improvements for platform reliability.Perform scheduled chaos testing and Disaster Recovery preparedness checks.Ingredients Required for Your Success Required Qualifications 5+ years in platform engineering, data platform operations, site reliability engineering, DevOps, or related roles.3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Databricks and/or Palantir in a production environment.Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, data pipelines, and system integrations.Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash.Familiarity with cloud fundamentals (Azure or Google Cloud Platform), networking concepts, and identity and access management.Extensive experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and platform-level automation.Experience with operational excellence practices such as monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with engineering teams and business partners.Preferred Qualifications 3+ years operating cloud environments, with preference for Azure.Experience with Terraform, policy-as-code, observability tooling, and Disaster Recovery engineering.Skill in influencing platform strategy and mentoring engineering teams on site reliability engineering and DevOps practices for data engineering.Number of Days in Office: 3 #LI-Hybrid #LI-MSL #LI-SG1 Compensation Pay Range:$81,000-$118,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.
