Shuttle Driver (CDL)

Currently hiring for summer part time positions starting in August 2026. $20.75 - $25.00 per hour depending on
experience, plus gratuity. This is a limited part time position providing transportation for weddings, and events.

Dates include but not limited to:

Aug 22, 2026 , Sep 25, 2026 , Sep 26, 2026 , Sep 27, 2026 , Oct 9, 2026 , Oct 10, 2026

If you are able to commit to the above dates, you will earn a winter season pass for 2025/2026.

Drivers must be 21 years old, have a clean driving record; and ability to pass a DOT physical, and background check.
 

General Purpose:
Provide transportation for weddings, events, and airport service.
Perform safe and efficient operation of all transportation vehicles and equipment including: related maintenance,
daily record keeping, and safety checks of assigned vehicles or equipment.

Provide guests with accurate and up-to-date information relative to all services and special activities
Hiring for our seasonal positions occurs on a rolling basis. This position will remain open until filled.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Safely transport employees/guests in company vehicles.
Maintain an operating schedule and report any problems immediately.
Communicate effectively with guests regarding resort information and concerns/ problems.
Ensure vehicles are clean, maintained, and in good working order.
Immediately report any problems or maintenance requirements to the Transportation Supervisor.
Other Responsibilities:
Fuel vehicles as needed.
Wash vehicles as needed.
Thoroughly clean vehicle at the end of every shift.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to safely drive vehicles on public roadways and mountain forest service roads.
Must be able to problem solve and make safe decisions while driving in adverse weather.
Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance required.
Basic knowledge of Purgatory Resort and surrounding area preferred.
Alertness, spatial perception, judgment, concentration, patience, near and far acuity, depth perception, field of
vision, color vision as well as visual discrimination is required on a daily basis.
 

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Must hold a current Commercial Driver’s License – An acceptable driving record is also
required.
Background check required.
Passenger Endorsement required (P2).
Medical Certification:
Ability to pass a medical certification test (DOT physical)
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
Bus and passenger van, cleaning equipment and supplies.
Vehicle maintenance equipment and supplies.
 

Working Environment/Physical Activities:
90% of the workday is spent driving vehicles, often in adverse weather conditions including heavy rain, lightning,
and hail. 10% of the workday is spent in a normal office environment.
Occasional exposure to non-harmful fumes, odors, dusts, mists, and gases. Potential hazards include but are not
limited to: mechanical, electrical, and road hazards.
Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 75 pounds.
Constantly operating vehicle controls when driving.
Occasional stoops, crouches, reaches, and handling luggage.
Constant use of near and far acuity, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision are essential to job
performance.
