Working at Taste Buds Kitchen as a Summer Camp Cooking Class Assistant is an excellent entry-level opportunity for anyone who is well-organized, enjoys children, and has a passion for the culinary arts. You will assist the Culinary Instructor in every aspect of the preparation for the classes and the clean-up after. The main responsibilities during camp are to teach and have fun with campers from the age of four up into the teens, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and help facilitate a great camp experience.
You must be at least 16 years of age to be considered.
We are looking for candidates with Monday to Friday availability to work one of the following shifts during the camp season:
8:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 12 PM to 5:00 PM
Priority is given to those available for the entire camp season. More hours are available for those who would also like to work nights and weekends!

Here are the Summer Camp Cooking Class Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Instructor in creating amazing cooking camps for kids from the age of four up into the teens
  • Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests
  • Setup before class, including preparing ingredients, activities, and pre-baking as needed for a class
  • Assist the Instructor with engaging and teaching guests about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu
  • Keep the kitchen running smoothly, sparkling clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after the class
  • Create a controlled, safe, clean, and friendly environment for all clients

  • You are able to stand for long periods of time and lift 45 pounds
