Description

Softball University (SU) Softball instructors are responsible for developing and delivering top-level instruction for youth athletes ranging from beginner to advanced and in various instructional programs. ย 


SU is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball.ย ย 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform skill-specific instruction in our facilities and at fields in and around the communityย 
  • Build and maintain relationships with athletes, families, and coaches in the communityย 
  • Deliver age and ability-appropriate content to athletes in team, camp/clinic, small group, and 1-on-1 settingsย 
  • Collaborate and co-instruct with other skill-specific instructorsย 
  • Assist in the preparation, setup, and breakdown of equipment for training programs and eventsย 
  • Attend staff meetings, instructor meetings, and company events, as neededย 


Requirements



  • Played and/or coached at the collegiate and/or professional levelsย 
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skillsย 
  • Ability to follow instructional plans and station rotations tailored for various ages and abilitiesย 
  • Ability to adjust instructional plans for athletes, as neededย 
  • Supportive and encouraging mindset and attitude with colleagues and clientsย 
  • Learning and utilizing technologies to enhance instruction and athlete experienceย 
  • Frequent local travel for programs run in surrounding communities ย
