Primarily performs a limited range of duties. And are usually assigned teaching or service roles. Not eligible for tenure.

Job Description:

The Department of Geology & Geological Engineering in the School of Engineering at the University of Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time, 9-month Instructional Associate Professor position (non-tenure track) to begin ASAP. Teaching responsibilities will include geology courses for non-majors; courses supporting undergraduate and graduate degrees in geology and geological engineering; assisting with instructional laboratories; advise graduate students, and participation in instruction of summer field camps (field camps are outside of the nine-month contract and qualify for additional compensation). Additional summer teaching opportunities for additional pay may be available, yet summer employment is not always guaranteed. The candidate is also expected to contribute to departmental service.

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field by the appointment start date. Candidates should also demonstrate a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching, with at least 10 years of experience.
