LIFEGUARD JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lifeguard, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all pool patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. You will enforce pool rules fairly, monitor water quality, maintain a clean and enjoyable environment, and report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to your supervisor.

This is more than just a summer job - it's an opportunity to develop valuable leadership, communication, and lifesaving skills that last a lifetime.

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 15 years old by the date of hire.

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate focus and attentiveness at all times

  • Must have or complete a nationally recognized Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification before the season begins

ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Experienced and motivated Lifeguards who show leadership and excellent customer service may be promoted to Pool Manager, with increased responsibilities and higher pay. Opportunities will be discussed during the interview.

SEASON DATES

  • Opening Day: Saturday, May 23, 2026

  • Closing Day: Monday, September 7, 2026

Pay Rate: $15.00–$18.00/hr (based on experience

End-of-season bonus of up to $250.00
