Job description

We are seeking a highly-skilled technician to join our Team. Applies basic technical knowledge and analytical solutions to perform simple and/or routine tasks following detailed instructions. Performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment. Collects test data from instrumentation such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. Required to operate complex test instrumentation within an electro-optical and radio frequency in a field environment. Work under close supervision, receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level engineers and technicians.


Duties and Responsibilities. Responsible for the setup, operations, teardown, and maintenance of various data collection systems (radars, optical trackers, survey equipment) in support of customer testing. Duties can vary widely, not just from job to job, but from day to day at the same job. On any given day, may be required to perform a variety of tasks, such as:


  • Assemble, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic components and systems.
  • Source and/or fabricate replacement parts for electronic systems.
  • Ensure all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing on assigned equipment.
  • Interpreting drawings, training manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties.
  • Follow written, verbal, and telephonic instructions.


Education/Experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must complete in-house radar training. Prior military experience/training preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
  • Must be capable of working in an outdoor environment with extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit and winter temperatures dropping to around 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.

  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed; sometimes on short notice in order to support test missions.


Terms of Employment Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical, with periodic retests.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.


Certificates and Licenses. Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
