Get paid to work outdoors, meet awesome people, and be part of a high-energy team in the mountains.

At Highlands Aerial Park, you won’t be stuck behind a desk—you’ll be leading zipline tours and creating unforgettable experiences for guests from all over.

No experience required—we’ll train you.

This is not a traditional 9–5—our schedule is driven by bookings, which means some days are busy and others are more flexible.

Located in Scaly Mountain, NC—just minutes from Highlands, NC, and Clayton, GA.

What You’ll Do
  • Guide guests through zipline tours and aerial adventure experiences
  • Create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for every guest
  • Assist with a variety of park activities, including our kids & families course and swing and tree climb attractions
  • Help with daily operations such as opening/closing duties, equipment setup, and general park upkeep
  • Communicate clearly with guests and teammates to keep tours running smoothly
  • Support a positive team environment and jump in where needed
  • No two days are exactly the same—flexibility and a willingness to jump in are key to success in this role.
Schedule & Availability
  • This is not a traditional 9–5 role—hours vary based on guest bookings, weather, and seasonal demand
  • Some days are longer and fast-paced, while others may be shorter or more flexible
  • Availability on weekends and holidays is required during our busy season
  • When tours are not scheduled, team members may assist with other park duties or have downtime built into their day
  • All new hires must attend our required 5-day Spring training to begin work
  • This role is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with a flexible schedule.

Pay & Growth
  • Earnings are primarily commission-based, with tips on every tour
  • The listed salary range reflects typical total earnings, including commission and tips
  • We operate in a strong tipping environment, and tips can make up a significant portion of total earnings based on the guest experience you provide
  • Additional hourly pay is available for certain duties, such as opening/closing, park operations, and support roles

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to attend and complete the required training (flexible scheduling available)
  • Ability to stay active throughout the day, including standing, walking, hiking, and working at heights
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
