Our School:
Cristo Rey Brooklyn is a Catholic high school partnering with families of all creeds to educate deserving young people from underserved communities to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. The Position:
The Mathematics teacher will be assigned Integrated Mathematics, as well as Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. They will work alongside other Mathematics teachers and, perhaps, some Science teachers. The job begins in August and ends in June with possible opportunities for summer employment for an additional stipend.
The first day of the school year for faculty is August 31, 2026. New teachers are expected to attend summer training held by the Cristo Rey Network in July. Expenses for this training are covered by the school.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics or Secondary Education is required
- Masters Degree in Secondary Education is preferred but not required
- Prior successful full-time teaching experience in grades 7-12 is strongly preferred
- Able to use technology to further student learning (i.e. Google Classroom, Zoom, PowerSchool)
- Prior experience in Cristo Rey schools, Jesuit schools, Teach for America, Alliance for Catholic Education, or NativityMiguel schools is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting salary is $55,000. Work experience and education will be considered for compensation. The exact amount is commensurate with experience and benchmarked with our peer local and Cristo Rey Network schools.
Comprehensive benefits are included in the overall compensation package.
