STATEMENT OF THE JOB The position may consist of performing duties associated with various recreational activities, special events and programs of the City's Recreation Division to include the Farmer's Market, Community Park operations, various special events etc. Responsibilities may include operating gold carts (for those 18 years or older) cashiering, inventory, stocking, special event setup and tear down, etc. NOTE: This is a part time position that will work no more than 29 hours per week.
*MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT IS 14 YEARS OF AGE. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE/LICENSING & TRAINING EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required unless currently enrolled in an accredited school. Prefer strong math skills, basic recordkeeping skills, cash register experience, and/or experience associated with working in special events and programs of the City's Recreation Division, and dealing with all ages of the general public.

LICENSING & TRAINING: Valid Driver's License First Aid/CPR certifications depending on assignment. *Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.

Perform accountability tasks associated with cash flow and correct calculations for appropriate reports. Change trash can liners and pick up loose trash around recreation facilities and parks
Maintains inventory of food, supplies and equipment while conducting assigned programs and operate facilities. Issues equipment and supplies to activity participants or groups. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of recreation facilities and equipment.
Officiates at various recreational leagues; keeping physically fit and mentally alert; be familiar with and enforce league rules and regulations. Makes announcements as needed over the P.A. System and contacts emergency personnel as necessary
Enforces safety rules and regulations in a fair and consistent manner. Accurately and promptly fill out accident/incident reports. Answer routine questions regarding recreation facility usage.
Recommend improvements to City Recreation facilities and services to the Recreation Supervisors. Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Complies with and promotes safe practices in agreement with the safety rules and procedures set forth.
Performs other duties as assigned.
