3rd - 8 Hours shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 am) Sunday through Thursday

Job Summary (Primary Function)

General Manufacturing Jobs within different departments.

  • Molds fiberglass parts by resin transfer molding. Uses fiberglass parts or fiberglass, polyester resin, catalysis, release agent and clean-up material.
  • Assembles parts by operating different equipment.
  • Sand / repair part exterior to quality requirements.

Job Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)*

  • Places fiberglass into mold either fiberglass preform or fiberglass cut to size.
  • Properly arranges fiberglass in mold using a veil, when required
  • Assures the two part mold is closed for designated period and a specified temperature.
  • Weighs part and identify part with serial number and weight.
  • Records in mold log, serial number, mold temperature, and part weight.
  • Takes part off press and smooth's edges by cutting excess material and sanding.
  • Assembles parts
  • Installs hardware using power tools.
  • Finishing
  • Performs all work in a safe manner and in accordance with company safety policies and regulations.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Trade Knowledge-

  • Must have basic reading, writing and math skills. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must be familiar with company quality standards for parts being produced.

Physical Demand -

  • Sustained physical effort working with moderate weight and bulky material weighing up to 50 lbs. Standing bending, stooping, lifting and stretching necessary to perform this job.
  • Exposure to heat and fiberglass

Mental and/or Visual Demand-

  • Frequent visual and mental attention is required. Some checking on mold temperatures is required.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Normally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles . Noise level is high and the work environment is hot in summer time.
