Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Mathematics.
Seeking "expression of interest" from researchers interested in all areas of mathematics.
In November of 2025, New York University formally established the new Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science. Uniting the three academic departments allows faculty to focus educational programming and maximize research efforts. The Courant School is located in the heart of New York City-an international hub of technology, education, finance, and healthcare-which gives our community exclusive access to academia and industry.
The Department of Mathematics welcomes researchers across a wide range of domains who will conduct deep and impactful research and contribute to the creative growth of the Courant Institute School community.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the current annual base salary range for this position is $58,656 - $110,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Qualifications
Minimum qualification: Completion of a Master's degree in disciplines aligned with faculty research by the start date.
