Job Title: Team Lead, SAP Operations

This role, within the SAP Operations / IT Business Systems team, is accountable for SAP Enterprise Asset Management (Plant Maintenance) and related operational modules. The position leads solution design, implementation, continuous improvement initiatives, monthly release management, and production support. It also provides functional leadership to the SAP Functional Analyst team, overseeing day-to-day activities, team performance, and the delivery of medium-sized projects.

In addition, the role builds strong partnerships with operational stakeholders, ensures alignment on business requirements, advises current and emerging technologies, and supports governance through effective reporting, policies, and procedures.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Serve as SME for SAP Operations functions, primarily SAP Enterprise Asset Management (PM), with knowledge of related modules (MM, SD, EHS, QM, MOC, and inhouse drilling tools)
  • Lead functional support for SAP PM (preferably S/4HANA), including integration across MM, FI, CO, PP and key technical areas (ABAP, Fiori, Security, Reporting)
  • Provide functional leadership through coaching, mentoring, and collaboration, while supporting portfolio planning and coordinating project execution
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance SAP solutions by gathering requirements, designing/testing solutions, documenting specifications, defining security needs, and supporting change management
  • Build strong relationships with business partners, identify process improvements, manage minor enhancements, contribute to larger projects, and provide enduser support

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience, with 10+ years as an SAP Functional Analyst across operations modules (EAM, SCM, SD, PP, EHS, MOC)
  • Minimum 3 years managing small to midsized teams, including daytoday coordination and performance reviews; prior leadership experience considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of business process design, SAP functional capabilities, and data management, ideally with exposure to the oil and gas industry
  • Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into businessfriendly language
  • Detailoriented, adaptable, servicefocused, and committed to continuous learning and knowledge sharing within a team environment
