Job description

Recreation Center Coordinator – Jennings Schedule: After School Program: M–Th 3–7 PM, F 3–6 PM; Summer Program: M–F 9 AM–5 PM, occasional weekends; 20–40 hrs/week

What You'll Do

Lead, plan, and execute daily recreational, educational, and enrichment activities for youth. Ensure a safe, positive environment, model good behavior, and support both staff and participants in program success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate youth activities, sports, games, tournaments, and events
  • Maintain daily attendance, manage program supplies, and oversee building safety
  • Prepare and serve Kids Café meals and assist with free lunch programs
  • Promote programs, update registration info, and supervise youth inside and outside the center
  • Support the team with inventory, volunteer coordination, and community outreach

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise youth and volunteers during activities and special events

What You Bring – Education & Experience

  • Experience in education, recreation, sports, or working with children
  • Desire to mentor, guide, and positively engage youth
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Technical Skills & Knowledge
