About the Role

Are you passionate about helping young people discover their path in life—especially in the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math)?

We’re looking for a Success Coach/Case Manager who will guide high school students through their academic and career journeys while connecting them and their families to the support they need to thrive.

In this role, you’ll work directly with students in our STEAMWorks programs, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for hands-on learning experiences.

As a Success Coach, you’ll be the go-to person helping students set goals, overcome challenges, and explore exciting STEAM career pathways. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Recruiting high school students interested in STEAM programs.
  • Conducting individual assessments to understand each student’s needs and connect them to resources like tutoring, transportation, or counseling.
  • Facilitating the MY10YearPlan curriculum to help students map out their futures.
  • Leading workshops and organizing training sessions for STEAMWorks participants.
  • Providing oneonone coaching and group sessions on life skills, coping strategies, and personal development.
  • Keeping detailed case files and tracking attendance, certifications, and progress.
  • Supporting students as they develop Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) focused on academic success and postsecondary goals.
  • Planning field trips and experiences that expose youth to STEAM opportunities and careers.
  • Engaging with families to ensure they’re informed, supported, and involved in their student’s growth.
  • Helping students earn digital badges and microcredentials that boost employability.
  • Supporting summer programs like the Summer Leadership Academy and Summer Internship.
  • And, of course—jumping in to help with other program needs as they arise!
  • What You Bring
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • (An Associate’s degree with relevant experience will also be considered.)

  • Experience working with youth or young adults, especially those considered “opportunity youth.”
  • Background in case management or youth development.
  • Experience or strong interest in STEAM fields is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and build strong relationships with families and community partners.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) is a big plus!
  • Other Requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data management tools.
  • Must pass a Level II Background Check.
  • Familiarity with grantfunded programs and tracking KPIs.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • What We Offer

At OIC-SFL, we provide a supportive, mission-aligned environment where your work truly matters. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Employerpaid Life, AD&D, ShortTerm, and LongTerm Disability Insurance
  • 403(b) Retirement Plan with employer contributions
  • 15 PTO and 12 observed holidays
  • Opportunities for training and professional development
  • A collaborative team culture committed to making a difference
  • Why Join Us?
