Job Goal
Educational Aide assists the teacher and performs a variety of duties that involve working with students individually and in small groups, reinforcing daily lessons, motivating learning, assisting with classroom management or supervising activities such as lunch or recess.
Job Qualifications:
  • Current junior or senior high school student, preferred
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions and work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Essential Functions:
  • Participates in instructional activities with students and teachers.
  • Cooridinate Enrichment activities for students after academic portion of the day.
  • Assist teacher or other program staff to prepare classroom materials and displays.
  • Assist in monitoring playground, lunchroom, and recess activities
  • Assist in distribution and collection of materials and supplies
  • Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom environment
  • Assist students in specialized areas such as the media center, computer lab, etc.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned by Program Coordinators
