Job description

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join Synechron for an on-site opportunity. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps practices. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced enterprise environment and collaborating closely with architects, QA, DevOps, product teams, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java.
  • Develop backend services using Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
  • Design and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.
  • Write clean, reusable, secure, and maintainable code.
  • Participate in system design and technical architecture discussions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support.
  • Optimize application performance and database queries.
  • Implement authentication and authorization using technologies such as OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and support deployments through Kubernetes.
  • Participate in CI/CD implementation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices.
RequirementsRequired Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 or newer versions.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience developing REST APIs.
  • Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
  • Strong SQL and database knowledge.
  • Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ or other messaging systems.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Good understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong debugging and production-support skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with event-driven architecture.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems.
  • Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, or other enterprise environments is a plus.
