Job Description:

We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Summer Landscape Technician to join our dynamic landscaping team. This full-time position is focused on providing high-quality garden maintenance and installation services, with the opportunity to learn and develop landscaping skills. As a key part of our team, you'll support the day-to-day operations, assisting with various landscaping tasks, and contributing to a positive team environment. Whether you're an experienced landscaper or just starting out, we're excited to help you grow your skills and knowledge in the landscape management field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform garden maintenance tasks including cultivating, weeding, fertilizing, perennial care, and pruning to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Participate in early morning team activities, including loading trucks and trailers, watering, and weeding plant inventory.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning up worksites, including sweeping and blowing debris at the end of the day.
  • Operate small landscaping equipment such as backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, and other hand tools.
  • Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and outdoor containers.
  • Assist with garden construction activities such as digging, site preparation, planting, and mulching.
  • Work with river rock, lay flagstone, and install armor stone as needed.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and supervisors to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Follow on-site health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.
  • Use job management software (e.g., Jobber) to track time and provide updates as required.
  • Continuously learn and expand your landscape maintenance and garden installation knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned to support team goals and client satisfaction.

 Requirements:

  • High school diploma (landscape experience or education is an asset but not required).
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 40+ pounds, using a wheelbarrow, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, from early mornings to late afternoons.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to take direction and collaborate.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve on-site issues as they arise.
  • Hardworking, self-motivated, and dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Must provide a valid G2 driver's license and have daily access to personal transportation to get to/from job sites.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly wage: $19.57-$22.66/hour based on experience.
