Redwood Recreation Center is an AWESOME Center located in the West Valley City! Incudes one gymnasium, a fitness room, outdoor pool, four racquetball courts, and four softball fields. PERKS include flexible hours, and a FUN environment. Students and retirees are welcome.

As part of our team, you’ll help create a fun, safe, and welcoming space for families and community members to relax and cool off. You’ll build valuable skills in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving while being part of a supportive and upbeat team. If you’re dependable, positive, and ready to make the most of the summer season, this is the perfect opportunity to build experience while working outdoors in a lively, team-oriented setting.

Now Hiring: Outdoor Pool Staff – Make Waves With Us This Season!

Are you energetic, responsible, and love working outdoors? Join our team at the community outdoor pool and spend your summer in the sun while making a difference!

‍ Positions Available:

  • Lifeguards
  • Swim Instructors

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure a safe and fun environment for all guests
  • Enforce pool rules and safety procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Assist with daily pool operations and cleanliness

Qualifications:

 

  • Must be 15 or older
  • Complete a swim test: tread water for 60 seconds with no hands, swim 100 yards and retrieve a 10 lb. brick using a feet first surface dive at 12-foot depth.

Background Check Information:

 

Due to the nature of some of these positions, the selected applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements 

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:

An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

  • Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
  • Are not considered merit employees.
  • Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
