Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Customer Technical Support and Remote Diagnostic Engineer for our small gas turbine (SGT) fleet in North America, you will provide technical support for the region! You will interact daily with external customers, Application Engineering, Program Management, and Field Service. Your location is Orlando, Florida.How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop Service-engineered solutions to meet product line requirements for small gas turbine (SGT 100-400) service and outages.
  • Provide 24/7 operational service help desk support for our Region North America Small Gas Turbine (SGT) customers. Actively collaborate with the global SGT Technical Support to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Daily monitor RNA SGT fleet by analyzing operating data through STARMS preventing and predicting possible malfunctions in the equipment, avoiding downtimes and breakdowns. This monitoring will result in providing SalesForce notifications, creating monthly customer reports, and collaborating with the Program Management group and Application engineering group to provide engineered solutions.

What You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with gas turbine engine operation in power generation and mechanical drive applications.
  • Experience with small gas turbines (Lincoln units), along with a strong background in rotating machinery, control methods, and auxiliary components is preferred.
  • Proficiency in control systems (Siemens PCS7, Allen Bradley), and overall digital literacy is required, with experience in auxiliaries and package design related to SGT being desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work remotely (internally and externally) are essential, along with effective oral and written communication skills; approximately 5% domestic travel is required.

The SGT Technical Support Team comprises a multidisciplinary group of subject matter experts specializing in mechanical systems, electrical engineering, and control technologies. This team provides comprehensive operational support across the North America fleet, facilitating the execution of scheduled maintenance, responsive corrective actions, and strategic system upgrades and modifications to ensure optimal asset performance and reliability.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
