Job Description: Full Stack Lead Developer
Summary of This Role
Serves as a technical leader and hands-on authority throughout the software development life cycle. This role acts in a strategic and engineering capacity to architect, design, code, review, and implement highly scalable full-stack applications. The Lead Developer bridges the gap between complex business logic, modern front-end user experiences built in React.js, and high-performance data warehousing layers. You will establish coding standards, drive architectural decisions, optimize system performance, and guide a team of engineers in a flexible, fast-paced Agile environment.
What Part Will You Play?
Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Acts as the primary Full Stack Subject Matter Expert (SME); establishes engineering best practices, conducts rigorous code reviews, and provides technical mentorship and on-the-job training to junior and mid-level software engineers.
Full-Stack Engineering: Architects and develops complex, secure, and performant end-to-end code using Java/Spring Boot for back-end services and React.js for modern, responsive user interfaces.
Data Layer Architecture: Designs, optimizes, and advises on complex program specifications to ensure seamless, high-speed interaction between UI components, backend APIs, and the Snowflake data layer.
Agile Governance: Actively drives and participates in all Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Retrospectives). Partners with Product Owners to break down complex Jira User Stories into technical tasks, manage velocity, and remove team blockers.
Security & Compliance: Leads architectural discussions regarding secure credential management and API security. Applies in-depth knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance to all development and infrastructure activities.
Testing & Validation: Oversees the design and execution of comprehensive multi-level unit and integration testing to validate data accuracy across intricate partner hierarchies.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack design and software development.
  • 3+ years of experience serving in a technical lead, team lead, or mentoring capacity.
  • Strong experience leading and working in an Agile/Scrum environment with a deep understanding of Sprint cycles and iterative engineering delivery.
  • Advanced programming knowledge of Java (Back-end) and JavaScript/TypeScript with a heavy focus on React.js (Front-end).
  • Hands-on experience with Relational Databases or Data Warehouses (Snowflake preferred) and expert-level proficiency in writing and tuning complex SQL.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a specific focus on financial reporting, data processing, or merchant services.
  • Direct production experience with Snowflake Data Warehousing architectures and Apigee API Management.
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing Jira and Confluence for agile workflow tracking and system documentation.
  • Hands-on familiarity with designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) within an Agile cloud-native workflow.

What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?
  • Skills / Knowledge: Expert knowledge of hierarchical data modeling and the ability to translate ambiguous enterprise requirements into scalable, clean code. Strong architectural oversight for single-page applications (SPAs) using React state management workflows.
  • Job Complexity: Solves highly complex, multi-layered engineering issues (e.g., parsing "ragged" partner hierarchies, optimizing cross-origin web calls, data tokenization) where analysis requires evaluating performance intangibles.
  • Supervision: Acts with a high degree of independence to determine engineering methods and procedures. Owns cross-functional code reviews, architectural audits, and vendor technical alignment.

Technical Stack & Tooling Requirements
Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows, Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL, Amazon Linux),
Database & Data Warehouse: Advanced SQL proficiency; Snowflake, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
Back-end Technologies: Java (Spring Boot), Python, .NET Core.
Front-end Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React.js (Core Requirement).
Web Frameworks & State Management: Node.js, Redux / Context API.
API Management & Testing: Apigee, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI (including Basic Auth/Base64 and OAuth protocols).
Agile & Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Microsoft Teams.
Development & Build Tools: Git/Bitbucket, VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Maven/Gradle.
Applicants MUST be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be a US Citizen, GC holder or on H4EAD....OPT Visa not accepted at this time for this role...
We are UNABLE to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa or Student Visa at this time.
