Job description

This is an onsite, year-round internship in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate would begin working part-time hours beginning in August.
In this role, you will...
  • Prepare weekly claim activity reports and send out high level management metrics
  • Maintain the Defense Panel list.
  • Prepare semi-annual updates of the Defense Panel Scorecard.
  • Prepare the monthly Claims optimization presentation.
  • Work directly with Divisional Claim managers to ensure optimization of operational metrics.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly International Claims files and presentations.
  • Select claims and prepare forms for quarterly claims audits
  • Validate monthly vendor reports and load into claim management system. Correspond with vendors.
  • Assist with ad hoc claim audits and data requests
  • Take on other projects as assigned.
  • Participate in company and community activities.

We are looking for candidates with...
  • Active enrollment in a Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science Bachelor's degree program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Insurance knowledge (helpful but not required).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Year-round availability to work in the Fort Wayne office 15-20 hours/week during the school year and summer.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.
