Job description

Overview

Lutron is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineering Intern to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-impact projects. In this role, you will help design and deliver firmware-driven solutions that power smart lighting and shading systems. At Lutron, your interest in embedded firmware engineering will grow through hands-on experience, practical skill-building, and collaboration with experienced embedded firmware engineers in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Your internship at Lutron could offer you the opportunity to work on: 

  • Writing firmware for our microprocessor-based products

  • Code reviews and technical discussions

  • Firmware debugging, testing and tracing

  • Driving active projects in partnership with crossfunctional teams

  • Learning and applying newly adopted tools and technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability 

Qualifications

We seek talented, success-minded people with the desire and ability to make things happen. Our baseline requirements are simple: 

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Your cumulative GPA is at least 3.20

  • You are a rising junior, rising senior, or master's student at the start of the internship

  • You have broad interests in engineering, design and development

  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position

  • Willing and available to work on-site 5 days per week

Starting pay: $30.90 to $45.25 per hour plus relocation assistance.
