This role will be a member of the multiplication region leadership team and responsible for the health of 26,000 sows and their offspring which are producing replacements for the commercial regions.Will possess the ability to interpret and respond to production limiting diseases by developing, training, and executing effective strategies to support the success of the region while working collaboratively with the JBS vet teamJBS offers a competitive pay, benefits package, 401K, and bonus opportunities!Essential Job Functions: (order of essential job functions does not indicate ranking of importance)Investigate, assess, formulate, and present solutions to address health issuesProvide visit summaries and recommendations to the production teamConduct routine health checksImplement treatment and vaccination strategiesEnsure regulatory complianceDiagnostic testing and interpretation of resultsBuild and maintain effective relationships with consulting veterinarians and industry partners.Biosecurity compliance monitoringMaintain VCPR with production locationsSchedule and conduct health related technical training such as postmortem labs, biosecurity training, and vaccination trainingStay current on the latest industry developments, research and industry best practicesParticipate on various internal teams to provide guidance on industry requirements.All Other Duties as Assigned.Required Qualifications:DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from an accredited schoolEligible for veterinary licensure and USDA accreditation in Missouri, and Arkansas.Competent in management of swine diseases and a working knowledge of farrow to finish management.Must be able to work well in group settings and independently.Excellent communication skills.On farm activities are expected multiple days per week.Potentail candidates are required to be fluent speaking and writing in English. In addition to English, the ability to speak Spanish is beneficial and preferred.
