Job description

.NET Architect / Lead Developer

12 Months contract – Extension   

Location:   Vienna, VA / McLean, VA

Interview Type: Virtual| On-site

Key Responsibilities

  •  Own the end-to-end solution architecture for Production Scheduling, Production Execution, and Allocation Rules Engine.
  • Design scalable Azure-native solutions using .NET 8, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Service Bus, and SignalR.
  • Define architecture standards, API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger), database schemas, and integration patterns.
  • Lead real-time, event-driven system design with performance, scalability, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure solutions.

    Required Skills

  • 12+ years of software development experience with 3+ years as a Solution/Lead Architect.
  •  Strong expertise in C#/.NET 8, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Entity Framework Core, REST APIs, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, RTK Query, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure AD/MSAL, OAuth2/OIDC, SSDT, SQL optimization, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Experience with SignalR, event-driven architecture, Application Insights, Azure Key Vault, and OWASP security practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
  • Experience integrating with Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central is preferred.

AI & Tooling

  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI coding assistants in production development workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to prompt LLMs effectively using structured specifications and to critically evaluate generated output
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation and automated code review tooling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, food production, logistics, or warehouse management systems.
  • Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305) are a plus.
